Debilitating sound dropouts. Bought for use with tv (sony bravia kdl40ex503u). Sold directly by amazon and arrived quickly. From the outset, i experienced the following 2 problems:1) intermittent sound dropouts. 5-1 sec each time manifested as complete loss of sound from the tv. For the first few days, it only occurred a handful of times during a movie (typically only in the first half of movie). I called sennheiser uk support and spoke to an engineer.

Suggestions to move transmitter (base) did not help, and in fact made things worse. My transmitter was placed next to tv and bluray player. By the end of the week, the dropouts got worse, and happened every 2-3 minutes throughout the course of a 2 hour movie. All connections ok, and changing transmitter position did not help. Headphone was always within 3 metres of the transmitter.
